Its Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas....

Hey everyone! It has been forever since I last posted, I have been recovering from surgery and did not bounce back as quickly as I had anticipated! I am feeling much better now and am looking forward to getting back in the swing of things again.
Christmastime in HUGE in my family, and no mere surgery was going to keep me from getting my house ready for the holidays. Here a few pictures of my home, I have a total of 7, yes 7, fully decorated trees, along with the mantel, staircase, the bathrooms and numerous vignettes throughout the house. Regular camera pictures never due Christmas trees justice, but I hope you can get an idea...
Welcome the the Herman's for Christmas!

The master bath...don't you just love those skates?
When my girls were tiny, I started the tradition of adding a tree every year. Now that they are grown, they have continued the tradition and I couldn't be prouder! Rachel has a total of 8 trees, Tara has gotten up to 4 trees this year and Nicole, a new grad and on her own with her first place has 3! The women in this family believe that everyday is a cause for celebration, I am not so sure how my son-in-laws feel about my legacy....!!

Have a happy and blessed day!

Fall Decor

Hey everyone! I have not gone missing, just taking some time to catch up on orders and spend some time with my newest granddaughter. I LOVE the change in seasons and Fall is my favorite! I have been getting out the fall decor and below are a couple of things I created to go with my latest purchases...

I love the metallics this year, the copper and bronze are so elegant!
This plaque says
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
His Love endures forever
Psalms 136:1

I hope wherever you are, the beauty and the glory of God's earth is delighting you with the colors and smells of the season!

Random Fun and Pretty Things

Can you believe summer is almost over? It has been a BUSY one around here! Below are just a few of the different things I have made for the most amazing shoppers anywhere!

I want to thank EVERYONE for your wonderful response to my little business! Your sweet comments mean so much to me and I appreciate you all so much!
It is a big week around here for us, our third grandchild will be born this Friday and we can't WAIT! For you that know my daughter Rachel, you know that it has been a bumpy road to get this little miss Bree Leighton here safe and sound. We thank God so much for blessing us with her, we raise her up to honor Him and love Jesus. Life is good!!!

I Love it, but where do I put it?

If you are like me, you see lots of things that you love, but don't have a clear idea of what in the world you would do with them when you get them home! I have a very strong personal policy that if I like it enough, there IS a place for it somewhere, drives my hubs crazy! It has been requested by some of you for me to show some of my decorating tips, so I decided to try something different. On occasion, I am going to show you all what I do with some of the things I offer and maybe give you some ideas too!
This is our upstairs bathroom, it belongs to our 11 year old son. The walls are painted a robins egg blue with a metallic silver glaze. Yes, that is a mirror-on-mirror that you see! When we built the house, I hated the standard builder grade mirrors in the bathrooms and unfortunately, they are hung with some sort of adhesive that will probably survive armageddon! So, I did the next best thing and hung a mirror right over the existing one! Pretty clever, huh? I would LOVE to take the credit for this ingenious idea, but I saw it in a magazine a long, long time ago! Love, love, love the look!
You have seen these before, I made this tray for him to keep all his "toiletries" on, he is wearing cologne now, isn't that cute?!
Customized trays $30.00
I am ALL about DIY projects, if I can't find what I am looking for, I will make it myself! I made this shower curtain when I couldn't find one masculine enough for this bathroom, it was really easy. Hint: Hang your shower curtain right below the ceiling line, it looses some of that standard shower look and is much more dramatic!
This canvas has the verse "Sons are a heritage from the Lord" Psalms 127:3
Customized canvas $25.00

Funny story, when Jace saw this, he asked me, "Mom, why are guns a heritage to the Lord?"! What's wrong son, having a hard time reading that fancy Old World script?!!
I hope you picked up a few helpful hints and some new ideas. I definitely enjoyed having you, have a blessed day and come back soon!
